Our Small Groups Ministry is a vital part of maintaining our identity as a close-knit spiritual community. Whether you’ve been a Unity Student for years, or you’ve only just heard of us, our small groups and classes offer a wonderful opportunity to get to better know fellow congregants and engage with spiritual principles and ideas.
Small group programs and schedule are subject to change. For the most recent and accurate listing of current small groups and classes, please call us at (850) 562-5744 or contact us online.
Ongoing Small Group Programs
Our ongoing small group programs are designed to allow for people to join in anytime they are meeting – there is no obligation for regular attendance nor any reading or studying required to catch up on. You do not have to be a member of Unity of Tallahassee to attend, and there are no fees, although many small groups do collect voluntary love offerings to support the program and our ministry.
Studies in Non-Duality
Unity has as its foundational Truth that there is only One, “One Presence and One Power”. This teaching is rooted and grounded in the Principle of non-duality. There are many teachers and traditions that express this principle in ways that can serve to strengthen and expand our understanding of Unity and the practice of its principles. Non-duality is not a philosophy or a religion, it is the experience of no separation between me and the Universe; me and God. Join us each Wednesday evening in the Fellowship Hall from 6:30 – 8:00. The optimum way to experience these sessions is joining us in person. If you are unable to join in person you may connect on Zoom. See Events Calendar for the Zoom link.
Thursday Evening Online Class
This group participates in an expanded study of spiritual works on a variety of topics. The group meets via Zoom on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to join in at any time. See Events Calendar for the Zoom link. Sign up for our weekly newsletter for more information on the current class topic.
Special Classes & Programs
Special classes and programs run for a limited time and generally require attendance at all meetings. Most often, these are Spiritual Education and Enrichment (SEE) courses, which can be taken for credit towards becoming a Licensed Unity Teacher or Ordained Unity Minister. Please note that unlike our ongoing small groups, some special classes and programs do have registration fees.
If you are interested in earning SEE credit to become a Licensed Unity Teacher or Ordained Unity Minister, Unity Institute & Seminary does offer both on campus and online courses. Learn more at www.unityworldwideministries.org.
